Matt Walsh was born and raised along with his five siblings in Baltimore, Maryland. His first opportunity in radio came in the form of an overnight weekend DJ gig at WZBH, a rock station in Delaware. He quickly climbed from those depths to eventually take over as morning host. After a couple of years in that position he was finally offered a chance to host a nightly talk show on WGMD. Fast forward a bit and here he is at WLAP. The saga continues. Matt has always been dedicated to bringing a unique, provocative local perspective to the table. He prefers to do more than talk about stories, he wants to be involved in them. He's done everything from organizing protests, to hosting charity motorcycle runs, to speaking at political activist meetings, to even running for mayor. He is not afraid to emerge from the safe studio bubble and into the real world where life happens and show material can be found everywhere. Matt believes his program should be more than simply background noise. It should be something that engages, entertains, incites and motivates. His interest beyond radio include camping, distance running, listening to folk and bluegrass music, drinking craft beer and visiting Civil War battlefields. Not necessarily in that order.
