We all know The Brow will be swatting shots and partying with Emeril and Weezy while playing for the New Orleans Hornets next season (unless their GM is a heavy drinker), but what about the rest of the Cats? Will Lamb drop threes in LA? Is Jones set to wear blue again? Will Miller get drafted? So many questions heading into the June 28th draft:

Michael Kidd-Gilchrest – Washington Wizards – 3rd Overall (But probably Charlotte Bobcats at 2)

I say this because I really don’t want MKG to be associated with the Bobcats in any which way, so I’m giving them Florida’s Bradley Beal. However last draft the Bobcats selected Kemba Walker out of UConn, and unless they want a REALLY short backcourt combination of Beal-Walker (assuming Walker takes over for D.J. Augustin at the point), MKG could wind up on this sunken ship. Good luck and Godspeed, Michael.

HOWEVER, Jordan and the franchise have been known to grab guys with Carolina connections, so they could take UNC’s HarrisonBust City” Barnes. Please, take him instead. I’ll even drive him to MJ’s house if I have to.

Terrence Jones – Dallas Mavericks – 17th Overall

I’ve seen plenty of mock drafts, which have listed Jones from going anywhere from Milwaukee at 12th to 21st with the Celtics. The near consensus, however, has him landing in Houston since the Rockets pick 14th & 16th, sandwiching Philly’s pick. I’m going with Dallas because he could start right away for a Mavericks team that was DYING to get any production from someone not named Dirk. Unless he’s grabbed early by teams with needs like Portland at 11 (where they can play the “home grown kid” card) or Milwaukee (where they need to decide the fate of Ersan Ilyasova…trust me he’s good), Jones could slip.

I’ve also heard some rumors that teams STILL have some doubts on Jones’ work ethic and his attitude. Apparently they didn’t watch any UK games this season, as he was much more controlled and actually learned to listen to coaches.

Marquis Teague – Orlando Magic – 19th Overall

Teague is much more difficult than either MKG or Jones, since while he has a above average, traditional PG skill set, there aren’t many teams looking for a starting PG right now. It’s a guard-driven league, and ironically the best destinations for him are either to play with another UK PG (Liggins in Orlando) or replace his brother Jeff in Atlanta. The more likely scenario is that Teague backs up Jameer Nelson a few years, but since Nelson is getting up there (turned 30 this year) and the team is looking to rebuild – most likely without Dwight Howard – Teague makes sense here. However they’ll probably go with Royce White from Iowa State instead and completely screw me over, but whatever.

Doron Lamb – Chicago Bulls – 29th Overall

The big question when it comes to Lamb is whether or not he’ll even be drafted in the first round. This draft has an abundance of shooting and point guards, so it comes down to whether or not teams will select Lamb over Vanderbilt’s John Jenkins, Evan Fournier of France or Syracuse’ Dion Waiters. Plus you have to take into account guys like Will Barton of Memphis and St Johns’ Moe Harkless as they possess a similar skill set, even though Harkless can kill a man (or drive him to drink) when he tries to pop threes.

Lamb can also get picked up by Cleveland with the 24th pick, as they have only Boobie Gibson at the SG position. So if you love Lamb and want him to succeed in a few years, prey for him to land in a city whose best quality is that it’s not Detroit.

Darius Miller – Second Round – Lets say…Atlanta, 43rd Overall

He’s not going in the first round, sadly, and in the second round you don’t draft for need but rather on guys you hope you can mold. Miller brings leadership, a high basketball IQ, a strong mid range shot but little else. Just hope he lands on a team that gives him a chance to succeed.
